Scorching sun and megastructure shade from first-hours play.

This RADIOSOL sunlight page is the survival rule: shade is safe, sun kills. Steam app 2934330. Store copy: concrete mountains block the Sun; night used to fall in man-made valleys; you avoid scorching rays while crossing megastructure ruins and abandoned cities. PC Gamer first hours: you cannot linger in the sun; low-G hops cover desert only if the landing is shade. Verified October 2, 2026. Steam.

RADIOSOL is not a day-night farming sim and not Roblox. We will not invent a numeric heat meter. Keep life support on — it is one of the three kill switches. About $9 on press notes; check the live store.

Why does RADIOSOL sunlight kill?

The world was burned by a planetary cataclysm. The store’s job is to tell you the Sun is not a backdrop: scorching rays, concrete mountains as blockers, valleys that used to hold night. First-hours play matches that copy. It is burning hot in the open. Players stand in the shadows on purpose. Japanese support footage repeats the same instruction: do not stay in the sun too long.

This is a RADIOSOL sunlight rule, not a combat telegraph. There is no first-hours gun that “counters” light. If you turned life support off in the tutorial, turn it back on — PC Gamer ties that subsystem to dying in the world / sun. Hearing and thinking stay on for the same reason they stay on in the beginner guide.

RADIOSOL sun over megastructure ruins — lethal light, not scenery

How do I plan a shade hop?

Jump from spot to spot. Count the shadow spots you can actually see. If you only see one, you do not have a chain. Look at the landing before you leave cover so it is shade, not a guess. Movement modifiers on Shift/Control do not make the Sun safe — First-hours play shows extra tutorial prompts on Shift and Control as movement modifiers. Unofficial captions disagree on the exact names — read the HUD in your language pack.

Climb walls that are already in shade so vertical travel does not dump you into light. A massive shadow area is where you stop, look, and pick the next chain. Full cling / hop kit: climbing.

When do I wait versus jump?

Mid-page decision table. If two rows apply, pick the safer one. RADIOSOL will not publish a fake “sun moves on a 90-second cycle” timer unless a HUD dump appears.

How do megastructures block the Sun?

Store copy: concrete mountains block the light. First-hours play uses those volumes as the actual route. Abandoned cities are listed as places you navigate while avoiding rays — not as a loot map. Night in man-made valleys is lore about how the world used to work; it is not a published “wait for nightfall” exploit we can recommend.

If you are lost, hug structure. Open sand is a later sentence in this RADIOSOL sunlight guide, not the default. Layer order including Megapol as a search: walkthrough.

How do I treat open desert?

Low gravity makes long hops possible. That is a movement fact, not a sunlight exception. Name the landing shadow on the far side before you leave the last concrete shade. If the sun would hit you mid-air with no recovery, you are not ready.

Do not invent a “best desert loadout.” There is no combat kit in first-hours notes. Hardware still matters: Win10 / 4 GB / GTX 1060 / DX11 / 4 GB disk minimum; Win11 / 8 GB / RTX 3060 recommended; Linux Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04. A frame hitch mid-hop is a PC issue, not a story cue. PC (Steam) · Windows + Linux / SteamOS.

Which heat numbers stay unpublished?

No verified heat percentage, burn tick rate, or day-night minute clock on this wiki. If a screenshot later shows a meter, we will cite it. Until then, play the qualitative rule: shade safe, sun lethal, do not linger.

Spoiler policy: sunlight does not unlock named endings here. Grove remains store copy. Achievement names stay on the Steam overlay — achievements. Translation packs (including AI-assisted ES / JA / DE / FR / ZH) can change how warnings read; the rule is still “get out of the light.” Full interface list is English, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, and Spanish — UI and subtitles, not a full voice-over claim. Price is about $9 in press notes; a discount on a screenshot is not a wiki fact. RADIOSOL is Steam app 2934330, not a Roblox sun-survival clone with codes.

If you came from a “day-night exploit” thumbnail: man-made valleys that used to hold night are store lore, not a published wait-for-dusk timer. If you came from a weapon build: first hours have no combat kit. Optional tutorial still teaches jump-to-wall — use movement to reach shade, not to “DPS the sun.” First-hours play shows extra tutorial prompts on Shift and Control as movement modifiers. Unofficial captions disagree on the exact names — read the HUD in your language pack. Itch technical demo lighting is not Steam 1.0. After you can abort a bad hop, the beginner guide is the right recap; Discord is for live talk, channels TBA.

Settings that fake a sunlight bug

Garbled text is often thinking off. Silence is often hearing off. Faster death is often life support off. Check tips before you file a “sun bugged me” report. Join Discord for live player talk — channels TBA — after you can shade-hop.

What next

Next: climbing — wall cling and low-G hops only help if the landing is still shade. Then return to the beginner guide if subsystems are still confusing.
